This year Blackthorn Music Festival are teaming up with The Local Wine Company.
The Local Wine Company is owned and managed by Craig, Graham and John who
between them have over 60 years experience in the drinks trade. As well as
supplying a large number of bars, restaurants, delis, hotels and pubs across the
Northwest of England, they have more recently embarked upon creating a number
of uniquely styled pop up bars.
Featuring at Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, Liverpool Pride and the star-studded
Spooktacular Ball the themes have ranged from the scary to the quintessentially
British, with a 1940s style bar created in St Anns Square, Manchester for both the
Spring and Summer festival of Markets 2014
Their focus is always on quality and value for money as they work closely with
independent suppliers across the country to guarantee a top level of service and
consistency. Having built strong relationships with companies such as Rekorderlig
and Westons Cider for some of their draught products the bars that they run have
always proved to be a resounding success.
Most of the wine that they stock is shipped directly to them from across Europe and
they take pride in the fact that none of their wines are commercially available,
providing a real point of difference from other companies.
“Having worked in restaurants and bars for over 10 years, one of my favourite parts
of this job is the pop up bars. We are able to really enjoy ourselves and embrace the
atmosphere of each individual event as we take a lot of care in the planning and set
up of the bars. We are really looking forward to hearing some of the best up and
coming acts at Blackthorn Music Festival this year!”
