After a few years of playing together up and down the UK and throughout Europe four members decided to have a go at doing some of their own stuff… in late 2013 The Leathernecks were born, fronted by Guitarist Nick Wild who brings a ‘very Sheffield’ vocal to he mix. His style is often compared to the likes of Milburn and Arctic Monkeys with a sprinkling of Courteeners very own Liam Frey added in for good measure.
The band are in general fast paced, up-beat and very energetic, drawing on clear influences from The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys and The Libertines with obvious comparisons emerging towards Milburn and The Courteeners. All blended together to give a new, yet also very familiar sound. Having honed their skills playing covers together over they years and with a full repertoire of original songs in the locker, these four lads are working hard to put their own stamp on the Indie Music Scene. Building on the unofficial release of their debut track Bunny Boiler in June 2014 their debut EP was released on the 19th March 2015. With big plans for 2016 the sky seems to be the only
